Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at Katunayake is Sri Lanka's main gateway, about 30 kilometres north of Colombo. From the airport, Hikkaduwa is roughly two to two-and-a-half hours by road depending on traffic.

Most guests fly into Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo), then continue south along the coast to Hikkaduwa. Whether you prefer a private car, the scenic coastal train, or a slow drive with stops along the way, arrival is straightforward - and we can assist with arrangements when you book.

Airport to the villa
A private car is the simplest option after a long flight - we can recommend trusted drivers or help coordinate pickup when you reserve. Alternatively, travel into Colombo and connect by train or bus along the coast; Hikkaduwa railway station is a short walk from the villa.
By rail
The coastal line
The train between Colombo and Galle is one of the loveliest stretches on the island - palm-lined coast, easy pace, good value. Hikkaduwa station is close to Kurunduwatta Road; many guests walk the final few minutes or take a brief tuk-tuk ride with luggage.
